Śānti mantras-Om svasti

Om svasti prajābhyaḥ paripālayantām|

Nyāyenamārgeṇa mahīmmahīṣāḥ|

Gobrāhmaṇebhya śubhamastu nityam lokāsamastāḥ sukhinobavantu||

Kāle varṣatu parjnyaḥ prudhivī sasyasālinī|

Deśoyamkshobharahitaḥ brāhmaṇaḥ santu nirbhyāḥ ||

OM sarveṣām svastirbhavatu sarveṣām śāntirbhavatu|

Sarveṣām pūrṇam bhavatu sarveṣām mangalam bhavatu||

Sarve bhavantu sukhina sarve santu nirāmayāḥ
Sarve bhadr
āṇi paśyantu ma kaściddukha bhāg bhaveth||

Om asatoma sadgmaya

Tamasoma jyotirgamaya

Mrityorma amruntagamaya||

  • prajābhyaḥ :  with people
  • paripālayantām:  protecting
  • Nyāyena:   in the Dharma

  • mahīmmahīṣāḥ: earth and various kingdoms
  • Gobrāhmaṇebhya : sacred cows and learned people
  • śubhamastu nityam:  always  stay fortunate and prosper
  • lokāsamastāḥ : in all the worlds
  • sukhinobhavantu:  live happily
  • Kāle varṣatu: timely rains
  • parjnyaḥ: by the rain God
  • prudhivī sasyasālinī: earth rich with grains
  • deśoyamkshobharahitaḥ: country without any disturbances
  • brāhmaṇaḥ santu nirbhyāḥ: learned people without any fear
  • OM sarveṣām : the whole world
  • svastiḥ bhavatu : may it well with
  • sarveṣām śāntiḥ bhavatu: may the peace prevails in the whole world
  • Sarveṣām pūrṇam bhavatu :  may the whole world be complete
  • sarveṣām mangalam bhavatu: may there be auspiciousness prevails
  • Sarve bhavantu sukhinaḥ:  may  all people live in happiness
  • sarve santu nirāmayāḥ: may all people  be free from disease, stay untainted
  • Sarve bhadrāṇi paśyantu : may all people perceive the  protection
  • ma kaś cit dukha bhāg bhaveth: may the minds stay away from misery
  • Om asatoma sadgmaya:  let me stay away from untruth
  • Tamasoma jyotirgamaya: let me see thy ray of light in the darkness
  • Mrityorma amruntagamaya: let me be the immortal in the world of mortals
  • Translation:
May all be well with the people of earth and other kingdoms with Dharma in their path, May the sacred cows and learned people stay fortunate and prosper,

May the people live happily with timely rains by the Rain God, the earth be rich with grains,

 May the countries stay without any disturbance, let the learned people live without any fear,

May it all be well with whole world, and let the peace and auspiciousness prevail,

May the whole world be complete

May all people live in happiness, minds stay away from misery, sickness and perceive protection,

Let me stay away from untruth, see the divine light in darkness and be immortal in the world of mortals.
