Om sahanā vavatu| sahano bhunaktu| sahavīryam karavāvahai| tejaswināvadhitamastu|

Ma vidviṣvāvahai|

OM śāntiḥ Om śāntiḥ Om śāntiḥ||

  • Om sahana  avavatu:  May the Lord be patient and protect
  • sahano bhunaktu:  May he patiently nourish
  • sahavīryam:  together with energy
  • kara va avahai:  may we work together
  • tejaswina  avadhitamastu:  vigorous and effective
  • Ma vidviṣvāvahai: not dispute or hate
  • Translation:
May the Brahman protect us (me and my teacher); may he nourish us both together; may we work conjointly with great energy; may our study be vigorous and effective; may we not dispute or hate any. Let there be peace, peace and peace.
