Nava Graha Mantra-Ketu

The body of the demon without head became Ketu. With ketu’s blessings one get can have knowledge, good, healthy progeny, devotion towards God and work place, and clarity in speech.

Chant the following mantra seven times.

Palāśa puṣhpa samkāśam tārakā grha mastakam|

Roudram roudrātmakam ghoram tam ketum praṇmāmyaham|

  • Word Meanings:
  • Palāśa: a tree named Palasa
  • puṣhpa: flower
  • samkāśam: shines
  • tārakā: stars
  • grha: planets
  • mastakam:  Lord
  • Roudram: fierce nature
  • roudrātmakam: nature of Rudra
  • ghoram : frightful
  • tam ketum: thy Ketu
  • praṇmāmyaham: I bow down
  • Translation:
I bow down to Ketu who shines like Palāśa flower , who is the head of stars and other planets, who is of fierce nature and who has the frightful nature of Rudra.

    • Pronounce ś   like in shove
    • Pronounce     like in bushel
