8.   Bhūḥ pādau yasya nābhirviyadasurnila ścandrasūryau ca netre

Karṇāvāśāḥ śiro dyaurmukhamapi dahano yasya vāsteyamabdhih

Antastha yasya viśvam suranarakhagagobhogigangadharavadaityai

Citram ramramyate tribhuvanavapuṣam viṣṇumīsam namāmi||

Om namo bhagavate vāsudevāya|

  • pādau: feet
  • yasya: thy
  • nābhiḥ: navel
  • viyat: sky
  • asuḥ: breath
  • anilaḥ: Vāyu ( air)
  • candrasūryau ca netre: sun and the moon are the eyes
  • Karṇāvāśāḥ : ears as his abode
  • śiraḥ: head
  • dyauḥ: head
  • mukham api: mouth
  • dahanḥ: fire
  • yasya: thy
  • vāsteyamabdhih:

  • viśvam: universe
  • sura: Devas
  • nara: beings
  • khaga: birds
  • go: cows
  • bhogi: reptiles
  • gandharva: celestials
  • daityaiḥ :sons of Diti ( demons)
  • Citram: diversified or variegated
  • ramramyate: dancing beautifully
  • tribhuvana: all three worlds
  • vapuam: within Him
  • viṣṇumīsam: Viṣṇu as the universe
  • namāmi: my salutations
  • Om namo bhagavate vāsudevāya
  • Translation:
I salute the Lord Viṣṇu, who is in the form of the three worlds; the one for whom the earth is the feet, the sky is the navel, vāyu is the breath, the sun and the moon are the two eyes, the quarters are the ears, the heaven is the head, fire is the mouth, the ocean is the garment; the entire universe consisting of devatas, beings, birds, cows, reptiles, celestials and demons is present within Him and dancing beautifully within Him.
