2.      Vanamālī gadī śārgī śankhī cakrī ca nandakī |

Śrīmān nārayaṇo Viṣṇu rvāsudevoabhirakshtu||

  • Vanamālī : stays in the abode filled with lotus flowers
  • gadī : armed with club(an epithet of Viṣṇu)
  • śārgī : an archer( an epithet of Viṣṇu)
  • śankhī : bearer of the conch
  • cakrī ca: and the wheel( sudarsana Cakram)
  • nandakī: name of the Viṣṇu
  • śrīmān: name of the Viṣṇu
  • nārayaṇo: Lord Narayana
  • Viṣṇu: Viṣṇu
  • vāsudevaḥ: name of the Viṣṇu
  • abhirakshtu: may  protect me
  • Translation:
May  Lord Viṣṇu who is also called as Nandakī, Vāsudeva, Nārāyaa, Sriman, protect me who stays in the abode filled with Lotus flowers, armed with a club, and sudarsana cakram, bearer of conch and also a great archer.
