Ullaghya sindhossalilam salilam yassokavahnimjanakātmajāyā |

Adāyatenaina dadāhalamkām namāmitamprānjalimājaneyam||

  • Word meanings: 
    • Ullaghya: overstepping;
    • Sindhossalilam: ocean waters;
    • Salilam: sportive/ with ease ;
    • Ssoka: exhausted in sorrow;
    • Vahnim: drawn/carried;
    • Janakātmajāyāḥ: daughter of king Janaka;
    • Adāyatenaina: therefore;
    • Dadāhalamkām: burnt the island Lanka;
    • Namāmitam; my salutations;
    • Prānjalim: having folded hands with humility:
    • Ājaneyam: son of Anjana.
  • Translation:
Oh! Son of the lady Anjana, Anjaneya! My utmost humble salutations unto you who overstepped the ocean waters with ease, who was drawn to Jānaki daughter of King Janaka who was exhausted in her sorrow, burnt the island lanka, fold my hands with humility.
