4.Manojavam mārutatulyavegam jitendriyam budhimatāmvariṣtam|

Vātātmajam vānarayūthamukhyam Sri Rāmadūtam śirasā namāmi||

  • Word meanings:
    • Manojavam: swiftness of the mind;
    • Mārutatulyavegam: faster than the wind;
    • Jitendriyam: conquered his five senses;
    • Budhimatām: endowed with intelligence;
    • Variṣtam: most excellent;
    • Vātātmajam: dear son of the wind God;
    • Vānarayūthamukhyam: an important person among the monkey warriors;
    • Sri Rāmadūtam: devoted servant to Sri R ma;
    • Śirasā: with my head;
    • Namāmi: worship.
    • Translation:
I bow my head in front of the Lord Hanumān who has a swift mind faster than the wind, conquered his five senses, endowed with excellent intelligence, who is a dear son to wind God, considered as an important person among the monkey warriors and a devoted servant to Lord Rāma.
