10. Namo vrātapataye | namo gaṇapataye | namah pramathapataye | namaste’stu lambodarāyaikadantāya vignānaśine śivasutāya varadamūrtaye namah ||

  • Word meanings:
    • Namo: salutations;
    • Vrātapataye: Individual devotees want to be associated with the Lord;
    • Gaṇapataye: head of the group;
    • Namah: self surrender;
    • Pramathapataye: pramatha is the first attendant of Lord Siva who is capable of destroying enemies;
    • namaste’stu: my prostrations;
    • Lambodarāya: potbellied;
    • Ekadantāya: possessor of a single tusk;
    • Vignā: obstacles;
    • Naśine: eliminator;
    • Śivasutāya: son of Lord Siva;
    • Varadamūrtaye: who grants the boons
  • Translation:
 My prostrations to the Lord of all individuals, master of all groups, who is the head of first attendants of Lord Siva. I surrender to the Lord who has a pot belly and a single tusk and eliminator of all obstacles that come across my path and who is a dear son to Lord Siva. I prostrate unto the Lord who is adept at granting the boons.
